Yep. What a month.
But shifting mindsets… HAPPY 100 DAY!! We can’t believe how different *this* 100 Day feels compared to last year’s. Do you remember our “100 Days and Counting” email campaign? Hundreds of your emails flooded the inboxes of SFUSD leadership and school board, with stories of desperation and pleas to get our classrooms reopened for struggling students. We’re grateful to be in a better place, on this 100 Day.

Community comes together to address bumpy start to 2022 🤝 SFUSD + Parents + SF Business = Supports to kids & teachers
2022, who asked for you anyway?! To say SFUSD has had a bumpy start to this new year is an understatement. What we thought was overwhelming in the fall, well, January is presenting next level. Teachers are stressed and lacking PPE, principals are able to do nothing beyond contact tracing, and parents are feeling a mixture of confused, anxious, and helpless.
But this week our community showed what it’s capable of when things hit a low.

2022, ¿quién preguntó por ti de todos modos? Decir que el SFUSD ha tenido un comienzo lleno de baches en este nuevo año es quedarse corto. Lo que pensamos que fue abrumador en el otoño, bueno, enero presenta el siguiente nivel. Los maestros están estresados y carecen de equipo de protección personal, los directores no pueden hacer nada más que rastrear contactos y los padres se sienten una mezcla de confusión, ansiedad e impotencia.

2022年，為什麼您以這種方式到來了？ ！只說三藩市聯合校區在新的一年開局不順，那是輕描淡寫。我們認為在去年秋天就已經是壓力巨大、困難重重了。一月份不過是困難程度又增加了。教師壓力大，缺乏個人防護裝備；校長除了追踪新冠的密切接觸者外，其他都無能為力；家長們感到困惑、焦慮和無助。

Reflecting on 2021.
This was, well, quite a year. For our families. For our kids. For our school staff and educators, for our city. It’s pretty hard to believe that January 2021 was *only* twelve months ago; at this point at SF Parent Coalition it feels like it’s already been a lifetime. Together we’ve organized and empowered families, and we’ve pushed to give our children a voice by speaking up to elected officials in a city that so rarely puts kids first. Together we:

Este fue, bueno, todo un año. Para nuestras familias. Para nuestros hijos. Para nuestro personal escolar y educadores, y para nuestra ciudad.
